Pigmenti by Ferruccio Laviani

Lea Ceramiche introduces Pigmenti, their latest offering in ultra-thin Slimtech Plus slabs, in collaboration with renowned architect Ferruccio Laviani. Inspired by the works of Sol LeWitt and David Tremlett, Laviani sought to create an intense fusion of material and color, resulting in the Pigmenti collection.

Many people consider ceramics as mere replicas of other materials, but Laviani wanted to change that perception. His goal was to transfer the sense of craftsmanship and tactility onto industrial materials. Along with color, Laviani worked on achieving a natural look and feel for the material, not just in tone, but also in touch.

The result is a delicate, structurally colored material, with subtle graphic movements that lend depth and dynamism to the hues. The Pigmenti collection offers twelve color variations, ranging from ochre to earth tones, cooler greens and blues, to neutrals and greys. The colors are designed to be easily combined with each other and with other collections from the brand, allowing for maximum expression and personalization.

Pigmenti is a second skin of ceramics, with a thickness of only 3.5 mm in large format slabs (3×1 m), offering the possibility of use on vertical surfaces, for strongly charged environments indoors or outdoors, as well as for cladding interiors. This new technology for manufacturing ultra-thin slabs enables conservation of resources and energy, resulting in lower CO2 emissions and transport pollution. Large, thin slabs are also the perfect solution for sustainable space renovation, as their reduced thickness allows them to be laid on existing wall coverings, without creating construction waste by removing previous materials.

The Pigmenti collection from Lea Ceramiche is a proposal that combines art, craftsmanship, and technological innovation. Inspired by the works of Sol LeWitt and David Tremlett, Ferruccio Laviani translated his vision into ceramics, creating something new and unique. Pigmenti offers 12 color variations that allow for space personalization and maximum expression freedom. Slimtech Plus slabs are also very thin, allowing for their use in various spaces, both indoors and outdoors. The manufacturer takes care of the natural environment, making Pigmenti one of the most environmentally friendly materials used in construction. All these factors make Pigmenti a revolutionary proposal that will appeal to both designers and individuals seeking original solutions in interior design.
