The studio has received over 200 awards and recognitions for its value in the international architecture and interior design scene.
Recently, HBA and Atlas Concorde joined forces to add value and elevate design standards with their Marvel Travertine collection, inspired by the historic stone. HBA exclusively created five internationally designed decors for Atlas Concorde. The partnership between the two design giants brings together over 50 years of combined experience and a widespread international presence.
In an interview with HBA’s CEO, Ian Carr, and some of the top managers, Paula O’Callaghan and Lesha Fernando, the importance of the collaboration was discussed. HBA’s philosophy is to be a global company with a particular focus on local services. The international character of HBA promotes a highly creative and collaborative work environment that consistently infuses young design talents into various teams in their professional growth phase. The team comprises exceptionally talented design professionals capable of adding value, elevating standards, and improving the brand of the owner and project operator.
The collaboration between HBA and Atlas Concorde came about when HBA was impressed by the beauty of Atlas Concorde’s materials, international dimension, and the desire to experiment inherent in the brand’s DNA. Thanks to Atlas Concorde’s knowledge of the design world and experience in producing ceramic surfaces, the Marvel Travertine project was born.
Travertine has always played a significant role in architecture since ancient Rome. Why is it still considered a trendy material worldwide today? Lesha Fernando, an associate at HBA, explained that travertine is a material that has been used for centuries, synonymous with elegance and majesty. Today, it represents a significant trend in the design community, thanks to its strong personality, timeless elegance, delicate shades, and natural colors that add warmth to contemporary projects. With Marvel Travertine, HBA has emphasized the classic beauty of travertine. The collection reproduces travertine in all its aspects, and the two cuts, Vein and Cross, allow for interesting combinations. The three colors, White, Sand, and Pearl, reproduce the natural colors of travertine.
The importance of having a distinctive design proposal to give projects a sartorial touch was also discussed by Lesha Fernando. Designs are an excellent design element, and motifs and designs for walls and floors immediately draw attention to a specific area, help divide different areas, and add character to interiors. For this reason, the unique range of designs for the Marvel Travertine collection by HBA and Atlas Concorde is a must-have for interior design enthusiasts.
